Zane Scotland first came to prominence in the 1999 open at Carnoustie where he became the second youngest player to qualify for the British Open.
He won the Peter McEvoy Trophy, The Spanish and Portuguese Amateur Championships and became Europe's No.1 amateur before turning professional in 2003.
Zane secured his European tour card for 2008 in spectacular fashion finishing in 89th place on the European order of merit. He did this in only seven starts, joinging a select group of players including Sergio Garcia and Adam Scott, who also acquired their tour cards in such style.
Zane had a steady start to the 2008 season, only to be struck down with a wrist injury. He will continue his career on the European tour starting in the middle east.
